The Irish Red Cross works to provide rapid emergency assistance and long-term development aid for many of the world’s most unsettled regions.
The Irish Red Cross is a proud member of the world’s largest humanitarian network. With millions of local volunteers all over the world, the Red Cross is well placed to act quickly and get the help to where it is needed when crises or disasters strike. We prioritise emergency life-saving assistance including the delivery of food and non-food items, clean water and sanitation, medical support, and shelter assistance to people affected who need it most. The Irish Red Cross is also engaged in long-term international development projects.
Over a year of conflict has plunged Sudan into a devastating humanitarian crisis. Millions of people are facing extreme hunger, with famine a terrifying reality. Many people have lost their homes due to violence and displacement. Hospitals and clinics are overwhelmed, and access to essential medicines is limited. You can provide essential aid to Sudanese people in desperate need.

Since 16 April Afghanistan has been experiencing unusually heavy seasonal rains. New waves of flash flooding and subsequent mudslides have swept across multiple provinces in the northeast region of Afghanistan, killing hundreds and destroying thousands of homes, livestock and agricultural land.
Thousands of displaced people have no homes to return to after their houses were swept away. With your help we can continue to provide much-needed lifesaving assistance.
