The Irish Red Cross is a proud member of the world’s largest humanitarian network. With millions of local volunteers all over the world, the Red Cross is well placed to act quickly and get the help to where it is needed when crises or disasters strike. We prioritise emergency life-saving assistance including the delivery of food and non-food items, clean water and sanitation, medical support, and shelter assistance to people affected who need it most. The Irish Red Cross is also engaged in long-term international development projects.

Many people have lost their homes due to violence and displacement. Hospitals and clinics are overwhelmed, and access to essential medicines is limited.
