Why Fundraise for the Irish Red Cross?

For over 70 years the Irish Red Cross has worked to help people and communities here at home and around the world. We aim to support those who need it most through our wide range of Programmes and services. Whether responding to crises, connecting isolated communities, or providing First Aid Support, your support will be a lifeline to the thousands of people impacted by our work every year.

Our Impact

Thanks to people like you, in 2022 the Irish Red Cross supported hundreds of thousands of people during times of crisis and need in Ireland and around the world. 

In Ukraine, the Irish Red Cross 

• Delivered essentials like food parcels, hygiene and first aid kits, and medical supplies 
• Provided psychosocial support for those impacted by the crisis 
• Repaired homes and other damaged infrastructure 

In Ireland, the Irish Red Cross 

• Received 11,500 pledges of accommodation for refugees and displaced peoples 
• Reunited 14 Family Reunification applicants in Ireland with 43 family members 
• Provided first aid services at over 3000 events  
• Held over 300 First Aid training courses 
• Launched a Ukraine Community Center in Dublin and supported over 6,459 displaced Ukrainian people with accommodation 

Around the world, the Irish Red Cross 

• Supported over 800,000 households with life-changing food and hygiene supplies, livelihood support, cash distributions and other emergency relief 
• Continued supporting programmes in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Yemen, Palestine, Nepal, India, Pakistan and Indonesia in emergency relief, recovery/rehabilitation, development and health
