Open positions

The Irish Red Cross is seeking passionate volunteers to apply for the role of Area Director of Youth (ADY) in their local areas. This leadership position plays a crucial part in supporting Branch Youth Officers and coordinating youth programmes, while also implementing the Irish Red Cross and IFRC Youth Strategies.

The first phase of recruitment is open until December 15th for the following areas: Cavan, Clare, Cork NE, Cork SW, Donegal, Dublin Borough, Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Limerick, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, South County Dublin, Tipperary, Waterford, and Wicklow.

For areas not listed, express interest in Phase 2 recruitment by email.

Candidates must be active members, with current Garda clearance, safeguarding, and experience working with young people. The role requires a commitment of two hours per week, with attendance at meetings and youth events, and has a three-year term.
