A staggering 18 million people have been affected by the escalating conflict in Ukraine.
As the fighting continues, up to five million people are expected to flee to Poland, Hungary, Moldova and Romania. Many will do so with nothing but the clothes on their back.
Throughout this tragedy, the Red Cross has been on the ground – providing essential aid and services to people in desperate need of shelter, food, water and medicine.
From day one, the Irish Public has been here with us – providing over €15,000,000 in crucial financial support.
The business community has been here as well. To date, more than 200 Irish businesses have collectively donated almost €5,000,000 through a combination of corporate gifts, staff funds, matching programmes and public appeals.
But we know we can do more to support the people of Ukraine.
The Irish Red Cross is calling on the Irish business community to match the €15,000,000 contribution of the Irish public in aid of the humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine.
